His debut album/EP, ON THE ROAD is a very personal album for Gould, with each track telling a story of early life growing up in his Mi'kmaq community to more politicized tracks worthy of an Idle No More anthem. With a variety of horns, harmonica, fiddle and dobro this uplifting and danceable album has topped the charts of the National Aboriginal Music Countdown.
The name Donna's Boy is to honour his late mother Donna Doris (Marshall) Gould.
“Glen Gould's debut album On the Road is an honest musical expression that harkens back over a decade of this artist's life and is a nod to the parlor-band sound with a fresh edge. Each track holds a lot of heart and the album is a proud representation of Glen's cultural and regional roots.”
